jjzazzy Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Hi, I'm jjzazzy from Vancouver (Canada) I like really long books, and series, becuase I read really fast. I read historical fiction and fantasy, mostly. My local public library is really great, you can request a long list of books (and movies) from all over the place, and they bring them in for free, so you can always have one waiting when you go to return the last one. My ultimate fave books are (in no particular order) Power of One Gone with the Wind Song of Ice and Fire series Farseer triolgy Outlander series Pastoral Symphony Pillars of the Earth and anything by James A Michener or Wilbur Smith I am always looking for recommendations! ttyl jjzazzy Quote
Peacefield Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Hey there and welcome to BCF, JJzazzy! Glad you joined us . I'm a pretty big fan of historical fiction myself. If you're looking for long books, I would recommend Iain Pears' books The Dream of Scipio and Instance of the Fingerpost, the latter being one of my all-time favorites. Quote
frankie Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Hello jjzazzy and welcome to the forum! I really like the sound of your local library, in ours the reserving of one novel costs 1e Quote
