My fourite is Watson's Afghan Adventure - How Sherlock Holmes' Dr.Watson Became an Army Doctor, by Kieran McMullen. It seems to be that Dr Watson my be the real hero. What do you think? Quote

ian Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) I can only speak from knowledge of the original stories but.... I have to say that I always felt a little bit sorry for Watson. I mean, he isn't stupid, but next to Sherlock, he always comes across as a bit dumb. And he knows it! Despite all that, he still maintains a firm friendship with Sherlock (and who of us could say the same?), sticking with him through thick and thin. And he had to put up with sharing a flat with a drug-taking, violin-playing, mood-swinging obsessive-compulsive! Oh yeah, Dr Watson is the real hero here! Ian Edited February 21, 2011 by ian Quote
