Talisman Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I had this idea from a writers forum that I used to post on. It was tradition at this time of year for members to think of silly book titles that summed up the year they had had and various issues that had been in the news that year or were personal to them. You know the sort of thing. I thought it might be fun for the members here to try and think of some silly titles that might mean something to them. Here are some of my own contenders: You Don't Have to be Mad to Work here but it Helps by Luna Tick How to Cheat the Benefit System by Cash N Hand A Bankers Dozen by G Reed The Dummies Guide to Crime by Robin House The Debt Crisis by Owen A Fortune Honesty in Politics by Hugh Rinal Off the Wall by Humphrey Dumpty How to Live on Part Time Wages by Penny Pincher The Cook that Came in from the Cold by Iced Pie A Tail of Two Computers by Anon E Mouse Katie Price: The Unofficial Biography by E Norma Stits Snookered by Paul Table Internet Whaling by I Pod The Art of Giving by Jen E Rouse The Perfect Cuppa by T Bag and a few more: The Diet Cookbook by Luce Wait Out of Gas by MT Tank The Game Keeper by DS Light Getting Away with Murder by Scott Free How to Marry a Millionaire by Honey Trap A Way of Seeing by I Glasses The Honest Banker by Pearl Swine Sweet Dreams by Lavendar Pillow It's really quite easy once you get going .... Janet Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I'm rubbish at these, but I did read this one in a comic when I was about 10, and it's obviously made a lasting impression... Yellow River by I P Daley! Quote
BigWords Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 If you like books with strange titles, I suggest picking up a copy of Bizarre Books by Russell Ash and Brian Lake. (Amazon link) Quote
