smilerbabeuk
I have the kindle app on my phone and have noticed some books in the store are designated kindle editions. Does this mean they are different? Are they edited or condensed? Just wondering, because that feels like cheating, I wouldn't want to say I've read a book if its condensed. Bunce
At a guess I'd say the ones that state they are 'Kindle editions' are an edition of the book made solely for the Kindle, making it easier to read on there. I don't believe any Kindle editions are condensed versions of the originals. However, I may stand corrected.
Maureen
If you download a pdf book, or text onto your Kindle, sometimes the text displayed is not as it shows on paper or on screen, it sort of loses the format. The Kindle edition is when it has been formatted especially for Kindle - so you do not get extra spaces between a paragraph and the next, or a random set of inverted commas, for example.
