Michelle Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 In Noon, competition is cutthroat, and deception knows no boundaries. For Nicole Dubois, ballroom dance - her life - has never been the same after her only love and dance partner, Breck Noon, suddenly and mysteriously leaves her, disappearing at the height of their promising career and budding romance. Years later he returns. He wants her back in his life, back in his arms. Together they must overcome the adversaries who drove them apart, whose obsession to destroy is as powerful as the drive to win. Will they ever be able to trust each other - dance together again? Once again I let my preconceptions get the better of me, and I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised. At the beginning of the book, you're immediately introduced to the two main characters, and you find yourself making assumptions about them straight away. Watch out though, as the story evolves, you're probably change your mind. Katherine has once again developed some interesting characters.. Noon comes from a rather 'troubled background', to say the least, whereas Nicole's is a complete contrast. Explored in the story is a 'classic' love story, friendship, and family love, which are all very powerful. Just as powerful are some of the negative aspects.. jealousy and hate. This is, at heart, a romance, but it's wrapped up in a good storyline. Once again, if you're one of those people who avoid 'romance', you may be surprised if you give this a try. Quote
