emelee Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I am soon going to start writing a c-essay and I am so confused right now about which topic to choose. I have narrowed it down to 2 options but I can´t make up my mind now. What would you say is a better topic to write about between Jonathan Swift and his "Gulliver's travels" or Oscar Wilde and his "The picture of Dorian Gray"?? Which one would I find easier to analyze going from a theme?! I have not read any of the books yet and I won't have any time before I have to choose. So I really really need advice! Quote
SaraPepparkaka Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I voted for Dorian gray, but that's just because I enjoyed reading that book. Quote
Univerze Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Haven't read Gulliver's Travels, Dorian Gray was nice but in my eyes, a bit overrated. Know lots of people loved it though. DG might be the easiest one to analyze, however I think it's also the book more done than Gulliver's Travels, you know, that's one's less read by people. So for an easier essay, I think DG might be better. Quote
emelee Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Thank you very much for your opinions! I very much appreciate it. Quote
MatthewC Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I'd definately go for Dorian Gray :-) Quote
