River
Hi everybody, I've been dating this girl and it was her bday so I wanted to buy her a present, she's into forensics and detective stories. Can anyone here please recommend me a good book with those themes?
Chrissy
Forensics Lead Books Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series, starting with 'The Bone Collector'. * Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series, starting with 'Post Mortem'. Kethy Reich's Temperence Brennan series, starting with 'DeJa Dead'. More Detective + Carol O'Connell's Mallory series, staring with 'Mallory's Oracle' * Val McDermid ~ she has written many, so best to investigate. * Peter Robinson's Alan Banks series staring with 'Gallow's View'. Linda Fairstein's Alex Cooper series, starting with 'Final Jeopardy'. Sara Paretsky's VI Warshawski series, starting with 'Indemnity Only'. Karin Slaughter's Grant County series, starting with 'Blindsighted' Faye Kellerman's Decker/Lazarus series, starting with 'Ritual Bath'. * Jonathan Kellerman's Deleware/Sturgis series, starting with 'When The Bough Breaks' (aka 'Shrunken Heads') I have marked with an asterisk when an author has also written stand alone books, that don't form part of a series. Jeffrey Deaver's and Carol O'Connell's I particularly recommend.
Mac
Also, Michael Marshall with The Straw Men first, Jack Kerley with The Hundredth Man first, there's Henning Mankell's Wallander series and Peter Robinson's Inspector Banks novels. These are all really good, too.
