vodkafan Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Kell, I saw the film version of this sometime ago and I had no idea it was based on a book. However, reading your review it seems that the film bears only a passing resemblance and probably does the book no credit. I will try and look this one out and put it on my list. Quote
Fi. Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 My mum has a copy of this and every time I'm home I always mean to read it. Great review and I shall definitely remember to "borrow" it now Quote
Kell Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 I didn't realise it was made into a film, so we've come at it from two different angles - LOL! I shall have to look out for the film now. And I do recommend the book - I enjoyed it a great deal. Quote
vodkafan Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) I didn't realise it was made into a film, so we've come at it from two different angles - LOL! I shall have to look out for the film now. And I do recommend the book - I enjoyed it a great deal. The film has Aishwaria Rai (ex Miss World) as the lead. She is certainly easy on the eye but prepare yourself to be disappointed. The movie is reduced to a clumsy interacial rom-com. I watch a lot of Bollywood movies and enjoy them. Just seen you are in Scotland. If you have trouble finding the film do not go to any expense- I can lend it to you. Edited January 27, 2010 by vodkafan Quote
