Book like The Labyrinth

I was thinking yesterday about the movie The Labyrinth and how much I enjoy it. I would really like to know if there are any novels similiar to it or with a similar feel. It could be adult or YA fiction. All I could find in my search is The Goblins Of Labyrinth, but I think it is a picture book.

I think Alice in Wonderland is very similar.

 

The only other thing that pops into my head is the Neverending Story but I think that's just because it was another popular movie of the time.
