I'm not sure if these would be a little youngish for you but these are the mystery books that got me into the genre!You got Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Half Moon Invesitgations- Eoin Colfer, Traces series by Malcom Rose. They are good fun for a little light reading and you got no worries about them being inappropriate or rude! :D
