Snowflake Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I have just finished reading Old Filth by Jane Gardam. A really exccellent book that tells the story of Filth a lawyer in Hong Kong (Filth stands for Failed in London Try Hong Kong). The story unravelled brilliantly, Filth born a Raj orphan, sent home to be educated, his experiences through the second world war and through to old age. I read it in 4 days it was that good! Quote
Renniemist Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I read Old filth earlier this summer. It was a nice easy book to read, and if I remember correctly it was a quite funny in places and pretty sad in others. I read another of Jane Gardam Quote
