Reader's Digest worth reading or not ?

I've got one of those RD 4 books in 1, i stupidly didn't realise when i bought it that the books are actually condensed versions. Has anyone read one of these & if so are they any good or should i consign it to the charity bag?

Personally, I don't like condensed books - they make me feel like I'm not getting the full story (which is exactly what's happening - LOL!), but I know of others who love them. Quite why they like them, I don't know, but they do!

That's a tricky one to answer. I would say that if they are ones you desperately want to read than try to get hold of the unabridged version, but if it's just a throw in your bag book, then stick with it.

 

That probably doesn't help a jot.

I don't think i'm going to bother with it, if i like the books then i'm going to wish i'd read the unabridged versions instead so i'll send it on it's way
