Guest mcflash271 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I just read some novels by Stuart Woods about Stone Barrington and loved them. Anyone else read them? I'd love to see your thoughts and opinions. Quote
chesilbeach Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Can you give us some more details about the books? Titles and a little bit about the story would be good, just so that those of us who haven't read them know a bit more about them, and also why you love them? Perhaps you'll be able to persuade some of us to read them Quote

Perhaps you'll be able to persuade some of us to read them well, Stone is the son of two hippies(his mom being a famous painter). He went to law school, but didn't think it was for him so he never took the bar exam and instead became a cop. after being shot on duty he was forced to retire, took the bar, and passed in the top 10% of his class. basically it's just about some pretty cool detective stories. The first one is New York Dead. Quote
dave165 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I am working my way through them, have probably read half of the 18 Stone Barrington novels. I cannot think of a similar style author to compare but if you like private detective type books you may enjoy these. Quote
