I was wondering if there are any books on a jewelry thief around? preferably fictional

The most obvious one is Raffles by E W Hornung but it depends if you like 'classics' as it's probably rather dated.

If Tomorrow Comes by Sidney Sheldon is about a jewel thief. Not my usual sort of book, but I was an impressionable teenager (with a crush on Tom Berenger) when I saw it the miniseries and thought it was great fun, so read the book as well.

You could try Lawrence Block's Bernie Rhodenbarr series. Not jewelry specifically in every story but entertaining all the same.
