Help finding the title of a book.

So a while ago, I did this facebook quiz about which book character I was or something silly like that, but my result was interesting and I can only remember vaguely what it was about.

 

Apparantly humans no longer have emotions or memories but they have this one man who can, this old wise man who collects them all and is the only man in the world with them.

 

I know it's a long shot and that's not much to go on but any help would be appreciated. If not thanks anyway.

This is a long shot but could it be The Giver by Lois Lowry? I read the book some time ago and can't really remember if it's exactly like your description but it came to my mind when I was reading your post.

It was a really great and insightful read, I would definitely recommend you read it. I also know other people have enjoyd it as well
