Michelle Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I've just finished The Five People You Meet in Heaven and it really is a lovely book. As Kell said in her review, it's not a heavy or dpressing book, just a clever little story. Has anyone read any others of his? Quote
Kell Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I've heard that Tuesdays With Morrie (which is non-fiction) is equally good, but haven't read it as yet. I possibly will at some point sown the line though... Quote
Lilywhite Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I have The Five People You Meet in Heaven on the way, should arrive any day. Bit of an impulse swap Quote
Inver Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Tuesday with Morrie....yes I have read this one too. I was recommended it by a friend who leant me a copy for similar sort of reasons I have said on the other thread about Five People on the review forum. I cried at it though (having lost my mum not long before reading it) but I also found it comforting and have often used a couple of quotes from it in times of need as it were. Certainly one I would probably read again some time. Quote
Michelle Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 Thanks Inver - I'll look out for it. Quote
muggle not Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I thoroughly enjoyed Five people You Meet In Heaven. As mentioned previously it was a clever book, also one that made you think a little about life. Quote
Lilywhite Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I only shed a few tears..... One of the best books I've read in ages though. Top marks from me. Quote
