Christmas present book

I am looking for a nice present for my dad for christmas,

 

he likes Izhiguro, John Fowles, Castaneda, but he read most of them all , anything new perhaps you could recommend him?

it doesnt have to be from the authors but perhaps something similar , he loves Paul Auster

I could only think of a few authors, but none of them really 'do'.

 

Anthony Burgess, Boris Starling, Robert Harris and William Boyd.

 

A site that might be able to take you further is fantasticfiction. I have linked this through to the Paul Auster 'page'. At the end of each author's 'page' there are two listings; recommendations by the author themselves, and what other viewers have gone on to look at from that page.
