Ediz Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Hi friends, I'm looking for a novel about christmas. I have never read a book about christmas in English Literature so far. I don't want children's books, I had read popular of them when I was child. Can anyone recommend a christmas novel for me to read? Thanks so much! P.S: Quote

Linda Gillard Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 If you want a very English book and something comic, a bit like P G Wodehouse, I would recommend Jane Gordon-Cumming's A PROPER FAMILY CHRISTMAS. (She's Katie Fforde's sister.) It has a lovely Christmassy cover too. Quote
Michelle Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I agree Linda - my review for that one is here. Quote

SueK Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Have you read any of these? Are they scary? Hi, no I haven't read any of them but I'm planning to buy one or two for Christmas reading. I have read Anne Perry's WW1 books and I think they are beautifully written. She is a very prolific writer. Quote
