Hi friends,

I'm looking for a novel about christmas. I have never read a book about christmas in English Literature so far. I don't want children's books, I had read popular of them when I was child. Can anyone recommend a christmas novel for me to read? Thanks so much!

P.S: :)

Hey don't worry about it my friend, I was only kidding. Welcome to the forum by the way, I'm sure you'll love it here. :)

If you want a very English book and something comic, a bit like P G Wodehouse, I would recommend Jane Gordon-Cumming's A PROPER FAMILY CHRISTMAS. (She's Katie Fforde's sister.) It has a lovely Christmassy cover too.

Of course, I know you were only kidding. But there are thousands of avatars at internet. (: I wanted to change it, it is not important for me. :)

Thank you for your warm welcome. I already love there. Thanks again Ben!

And Stephanie, Linda, Michelle. Thanks so much for your help. :D

I suppose I'm going to buy many of books you recommended. :D

Thank you SueK. :)

Have you read any of these? Are they scary?

Hi, no I haven't read any of them but I'm planning to buy one or two for Christmas reading. I have read Anne Perry's WW1 books and I think they are beautifully written. She is a very prolific writer.
