Nicola Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Sheep or Viking Vampires???? Hmmmmm tough decisions! Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I don't know, I think the Dingle family could give the vampires a run for their money Quote
Julia Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 They started showing Vampire Diaries in the german TV this year, so up to now I have watched the first 3 episodes. At first I was really disappointed, the first episode wasn't as good as I expected. So much fog and nothing really interestin gappening. But I must admit, it gets better with every episode (so far). To the team question: I have to admit, I prefer Damon. He is ... well.. cute and more interesting Tomorrow I will watch episode 4. Looking forward to it. Quote
Nicola Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Haaaaa! Dear me!! I think we're up to episode 3 tonight Julia. It's showing now but my BF is hogging the TV! Booooooooooooooo! Quote
Peacefield Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Emmerdale is about sheep?! I've often seen that advertised on BBC America and public TV here but I've not watched it. Vampire Diaries is on Thursdays here and so far I think we're on episode 14. It definitely gets more interesting as the show goes on, guys! I know you'll like it . Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 We're on episode 3 (I've just watched it) and is it wrong that after all Damon does he's still massively hot I enjoyed tonights episode. Elena's "dinner party" scene was good. Matt's so sweet too. Quote
BigWords Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 My problems with most vampire shows (and, for that matter, books) containing romance between vampires and humans still rests on the fact that it seems icky. The immortal guys wander the panet for decades (or centuries) then they decide to shack up with teenagers? True Blood managed to avoid some of the usual tropage, but there still seems something odd about them wanting to spend a lot of time with women who (to them, at least) are no more than children. The squick factor keeps me from getting involved enough to see their relationships as anything more than a passing fad for the immortal characters. And did I mention the ewww involved? Quote

Elena's "dinner party" scene was good. Matt's so sweet too. Not wrong at all, Stephanie! Damon is 'massively hot' and keeps getting moreso if that's even possible, hee-hee! Quote
Cookie Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I agree with BigWords on this especially the premise of Vampire Diaries. Think about it - really old guy stalks school girl because she looks like his dead ex? That's seriously wrong! Quote

I liked the dinner party scene too and I find the character of Bonnie pretty interesting with her link to the Salem Witches. Quote
Peacefield Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I liked the dinner party scene too and I find the character of Bonnie pretty interesting with her link to the Salem Witches. I agree, Bonnie is interesting and her character gets more fleshed out in future episodes which I like since she's got a great background . Quote
rune Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 this is OK as something to watch, but its not a patch on True Blood I find the characters are a bit lame, its like Twilight, and Im not a big lover of that either Quote
LittleLijah Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks Damon is a spitting image of Rob Lowe??!?! Quote
rune Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks Damon is a spitting image of Rob Lowe??!?! really, you think so Quote
chesilbeach Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks Damon is a spitting image of Rob Lowe??!?! Thank you! That's who he reminds me of ... it's been bugging me for weeks Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I think Ian Somerhalder is better looking that Rob Lowe but I do see the resemblance. I was watching an interview with Chace Crawford the other day and he looks very similar too. Quote
Nici Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I just think he is swoonadelicous *sigh* *naughty thoughts* Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Love the avatar Nici I can't wait to see where they go this series. I think it's really good, each week it gets a little bit better. Damon has some great lines Quote
Peacefield Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I'm not spoiling anything, but this show does get better and better! I can't wait for it to come on every week - it's so exciting! Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 The last episode that was shown over here was the one with the 50's school dance (I think that must be episode 11/12). How far ahead are you in America? Quote
Peacefield Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Last week's episode was #18 for us, Stephanie. According to Wikipedia there are 22 episodes total, and the CW has renewed it for a 2nd season, yay! (They would be idiots if they didn't, LOL) Quote
Kimmy619 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I am up to date with the US and I am enjoying it so much, it gets better and better each week. Quote
