Stephanie2008 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I was a bit like hang on love, it's not Craig's fault he was voted by the public, get over it! Thats exactly what I was thinking. They were almost blaming him for getting through. It's not his fault. Although I do agree that he thinks he's better than he is. He's too sure of himself which is why I'm not a fan of his.

Although I do agree that he thinks he's better than he is. He's too sure of himself which is why I'm not a fan of his. I agree! He reminds me of Xfactor when it is the audition stages and you have those tone-deaf people. He is one of them he thinks he is awesome at dancing but he is not. I don't want him to get through, but for her to be so damn right nasty. Just not nice. I loved Chris and Ola's and Ali and Brian's dances. I voted for both tonight. there are my favourites.
Stephanie2008 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Bye Craig!! Yeah! Right decision tonight. I'm so annoyed though, the phone rang and I missed Ali's dance -the first dance that gets 40 an I miss it
catwoman Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Will it not be on iplayer? Yeah it will be. Hopefully it will not take as long as it did a couple weeks ago, it took ages to get on OnDemand on TV and on BBCIplayer online. Hope you get to see it it was beautiful. Also The VT before the dance and they were talking about dancing with each other, it was sooo sweet. I had goosebumps when Brian kissed her on the forehead. I wish that was me! *Cries*
Kate Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 YES! So pleased with last night's result I loved Alesha's comment to him: "I had to see Zoe go for that...!" awesomeness!
Stephanie2008 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I will try and catch it on Iplayer later today (my sound doesnt work on the computer but I can still watch the dance )
poppyshake Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I hated Alesha's remarks .. there was no need to say that to him in front of all his family. It was the public that kicked Zoe out and kept Craig in .. not Craig It was right that he should go though. Loved Ali and Brian.

Mia Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Yay! Craig finally went - about time! I didn't mind Alesha's comments because they were deserved, he was rubbish. I was annoyed too that Zoe went and he remained the week before. He was so big-headed though, he really thought he was good. He's in today's paper bleating about his marks. Ali's dance was beautiful. I'm not really sure why they went to Blackpool halfway through the series, why didn't they wait until the final? It would have made it more special.
Stephanie2008 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I think that was the wrong decision and Ricky should have gone tonight, not Phil. I really felt for Layla but I think she should not have danced (like Jade was told not too). I really like Jade so I hope this isn't the end of Strictly for her. I wasn't really blown away by anyone tonight...but Chris's dance made me cringe
chesilbeach Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 You've basically summed up everything I was going to say, Stephanie! I hope that Jade's injury isn't as bad as first thought and she's able to dance again in a couple of days after some treatment and rest, and she gets to do the tango next week - I was so looking forward to it, as the training footage looked amazing. Either that, or if she does have to pull out of the competition, then they've got some footage of the dress rehearsal so that at least we get to see that performance. Tess and Claudia were excellent, I thought. I think I preferred Tess as the main presenter rather than backstage, and I love Claudia anyway, so it was a great combo for me, although I couldn't see the point of Ronnie Corbett being there at all.
catwoman Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I am going to watch it when I get back and I can't wait. By the previous comments it looks like people are keeping the good dancers in. But I will behonest I really don't like Laila and Anton, so they are on my hit list to go. Sounds like there were a lot of injuries this week. Am I mistaken or did I read that Claudia presented?? If so I bet that was great!!!
Janet Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Claudia did what Tess normally does - and Tess did Brucie's job (with a bit of help from Ronnie). Claudia was fab - I think she's great. I do like Tess, but I felt she was a bit wooden in Bruce's role. I was glad Phil went over Ricky, although neither are brilliant. I wish Chris had gone this week though.
Mia Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I think that was the wrong decision and Ricky should have gone tonight, not Phil. I really felt for Layla but I think she should not have danced (like Jade was told not too). I really like Jade so I hope this isn't the end of Strictly for her. I wasn't really blown away by anyone tonight...but Chris's dance made me cringe I agree with all of that! I didn't want Phil to go, he was charming and did a really good dance too. Ricky isn't half as good as he thinks he is. Laila was lucky that she got the sympathy vote; it could have gone either way. It was a risky decision to dance - she should have stayed out like Jade. I wonder if the show's producers put pressure on her to take part? I didn't think I would miss Brucie, but actually I did! And I want to know how much of my TV licence money was paid to Ronnie Corbett to nearly fall down the stairs and tell a couple of ancient jokes. Tess was slightly stilted, but I do like her and Claudia.
Stephanie2008 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I agree that (and I never thought I would say this) I missed Brucie too. Tess talking to the judges just didn't work for me, nothing against her, I really like her, but something wasn't meshing. And Brucie's horrible jokes are what makes Strictly great although I agree about Ronnie Corbett, didn't see the point.
Kimmy619 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I'm not a Claudia fan and never have been. Having said that, she wasn't too bad on Saturday night. Poor Ronnie, I liked him He did his best with a limited amount of prep time. Plus, he is getting on a bit. Brucie stutters his way through most weeks. Ricky should have gone. I haven't really liked him since the start. He takes it all so seriously and doesn't really come accross as having any character. Ricky Whittle could be awesome (he very nearly is!). I think that they try and do some really flash chereography when he should probably focus on getting the fundamentals right first as he tends to lose his timing. Layla shouldn't have danced and I agree that she got the sympathy vote. I kind of hope see leaves soon, I don't like watching her and Anton. I thought that the professional dancers were fabulous in their dances this week. As were the street dancers that performed.
Stephanie2008 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 OK only two points about tonights show. (1) I'm devastated that Jade had to quit. I really liked her and thought she was one of the most improved. (2) I thought it was a very poor night overall. Not one performance stood out to me, and I was bored through most of the show. I'm glad Ricky left though, he was definitely the poorest dancer tonight.
chesilbeach Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Absolutely agree with you about Jade, and although I wasn't bored, it was a pretty ordinary week with regards to the dancing. What on earth was Erin wearing? It looked like her dress was made from Sulley's fur from Monsters, Inc.
Stephanie2008 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Yeah I said that. I said it was a cross between Sully and the hug in a mug from the Cup-a-soup adverts

I am hoping the two new dances will get me back to loving te show. I was not excited by any of the dances. I did not think that Ricky deserved a 10 by Alesha, but I felt that most people were judged fairly. Any ideas what Layla will be dancing next week? I don't think she has a chance if it is Rock and Roll. Also how will Alesha be able to judge when she has never danced the dances before?
Stephanie2008 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I practically cheered when I heard they were doing two new dances. Watching Dancing With The Stars, I kept saying that they should bring the Charleston or the Jitterbug into it because they're great dances to watch. The only dance I love at the moment is the jive and the quickstep.
Kate Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Also how will Alesha be able to judge when she has never danced the dances before? My hubby asked the same thing! Will be interesting to watch. Can't wait to see the new dances. I wasn't overly impressed by the dances either - very forgettable. I'm glad with the result though. I think Layla will go next

I too am glad Ricky went, I've never seen anyone so big-headed and arrogant since thingummy went (I've forgotten his name! The one that desperately wanted to get to Blackpool). I just wish he'd gone the previous week so Tuffers didn't have to. I was not excited by any of the dances. I did not think that Ricky deserved a 10 by Alesha, but I felt that most people were judged fairly. It was a bit dull. The best dance was Ali's. I agree that Ricky did not deserve a 10 - to me that shows up her lack of judgement.

Even after Bruno saying that Ricky's arms were not right and that was basic Ballet, she STILL gave him a 10. I liked Alesha, I still do but sometimes her judging is pretty wrong. The only thing I will say is that I don't really like Layla and I feel she is using her ankle a little too much as an excuse. I liked how Alesha was not looking at that as much as an excuse and told her to basically, put in the hours, and not to use her ankle as an excuse. That is the one thing about Alesha she does know what it is like to be in their shows and has that 'insider knowledge'.
