Trying to read a Dalziel and Pascoe thriller but going to sleep and I am not 200 pages into it. I usually love these books, but this one is just boring. Readers Digest would have condensed it to 200 pages and made it interesting. But as it is,it just sends you to sleep.

It is On Beulah Hights.

Do you wish to discuss these books, because if so I can edit the thread title, to help future readers . Alternatively, you may wish to start your own reading log?

After 300 pages it is beginning to pick up, so determined to finish it, but definitely a book that could have done with less words.

I finished On Beaula Hights, thank goodness! I love Reginald Hill's books normally, but this one did go on a bit too long.

I am reading an Ian Rankin book now. A Rebus novel. Strip Jack.
