weirdfish
Hi, I dont know if this is the right place, but i would like to recomend The Veil Trilogy ,Myth hunters, Borderkind and Lost Ones by Christopher Golden. Oliver Bascome is a solicitor, who is thrown into a world where Myths ,Legends and Fairytail creatures live. His first encounter is with Jackfrost,a warrior made of ice and sent to protect him from the Myth hunters. He needs protecting from The Sandman who is not the being of fairytail, who sends you off to restfull sleep, but a monster. If you awaken in his presence he takes your eyes and eats them. Oliver and Jack must stop the Sandman, who has an army of mythical creatures to hunt them, such as Manticores and Griffins. I could not put these books down, and if you like pure fantasy ,this is the series for you.

Chrissy
Is it the same Christopher Golden that has writen some 'approved' Buffy and Angel stories? If it is then he is quite a flowing writer. I have enjoyed some of his stuff.

The Veil however is much, much, much more entertaining and imaginative. The trilogy runs like this, Book 1 The Myth hunters ; introduction to Oliver Bascome and Jackfrost, first couple of chapters are slow, but hang on cos the rollercoaster is about to start. Book 2 The Borderkind ; These are myths and legends that can pass through the veil into our world. I could not put this book down . Book 3 The Lost Ones; The final battle between good and evil , or is it.
