chrysalis_stage
There are lots of things out there that help us read books like book stands, book lights and even things to help us organise our books like bookcases and bookends. I just thought a thread that you could post links to anything you can purchase that is book related would be cool. I only thought of this because I came across some quirky things and didn't know where else to post and share it tbh.(sorry if there is a post already similar) *This is an ornate book clock, three books lined up beside eachother to make a clock which I thought was really good, you could place it between your books on your bookshelves too --> http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/Ornate-Book-Clock/invt/5527401094283&bklist=icat,5,shop,home,housecollections,newinhouse There is this book clock too, in primary colours --> http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/Primary-Book-Clock/invt/5527401094284&bklist= Any morph fans must love this - morph bookends --> http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/Morph-Bookend/invt/5527422425548&bklist=icat,5,shop,home,housecollections,newinhouse Edited July 14, 2009 by chrysalis_stage

chrysalis_stage
Thanks guys Glad you all approve, tbh I was getting a little paranoid thinking it was pointless when no one replied lol how sad! Echo, I got my gladiator sandals off there but thats about it, i'm broke I like looking at their things though Oh I hate those loud clicking clocks too Chimera, I have to move them out the room i'm in at the time, but then it defeats the idea of having a clock to look at easily. Bethany, do you mean that book seat basically made of shelves? I love that too, looks expensive though.... we can dream! Dan - what type of booklight do you have? I asked for one for xmas and got a clip on one with a bendy light but the batteries go so fast and it doesn't shine so much on the page so I have resorted to a cheap bed light that attaches to the bars from Ikea atm. I have seen one and had my eye on it for a while but i'm not sure if it's any good ...http://www.amazon.co.uk/Whole-Night-Vision-Reading-Light/dp/B001C0WW4E/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1247667310&sr=8-7 Has anyone used this light before and know if its worth it? chrysalis_stage
Me to sometimes when my mum and dad are asleep i just use get my booklight and read. It's sometimes a pain when others want the light out and you want to read, and booklights are essential! I know I hate it when I have to share a room and other people want to sleep, I used to use my phone which had a torch on it (a nokia phone) but that drained the battery so fast
Kookie
I used to have a pink booklight but then my mum started using it. So i got a new one and my mum got a new booklight for christmas so i don't know were the pink one is.

Kookie
Yes i liked the purple but when i went to bye one they didn't have purple so i just got the pink. I got mine out of waterstones aswell.

Chrissy
I am going to have to get one of those lights - they are great!
Kookie
They are really but don't let anyone else get their hands on it.

Scarlette
http://www.likecool.com/Cave_Bookshelf--Store--Home.html I think it speaks for itself. Oh and look at the price. So cheap, let's get two each. Okay... Now I've started something... http://www.woohome.com/furniture/speech-bubble-bookshelf This one is actually pretty cool. And this one is what I'd like to have in my own home one day: http://furniturefromhome.com/products/Traditional/CLA-Tall-bookshelf-A201-78H-A Ah, an old fashioned bookshelf. Do you smell that old woody smell? It smells good. Edited July 15, 2009 by Scarlette

Kylie
Thanks guys Glad you all approve, tbh I was getting a little paranoid thinking it was pointless when no one replied lol how sad! I think this thread is a brilliant idea The only reason I hadn't replied yet was because I wanted some time to look for some great bookish links. Coming soon... Oh I hate those loud clicking clocks too Chimera, I have to move them out the room i'm in at the time, but then it defeats the idea of having a clock to look at easily. I really hate loud ticking clocks as well. I have a Beatles clock in my kitchen that has flat batteries that I never bother to replace because I can't stand the ticking. My partner is always teasing me about it because he never knows the time!
bethany725
Bethany, do you mean that book seat basically made of shelves? I love that too, looks expensive though.... we can dream! I mean these little thingies.. http://www.thebookseat.com/ Although I think it'd be annoying to have to lower that white plastic bar in order to turn the page each time, I still think the benefits of this gadget would outweigh the hassle of that. Scarlette, this book cave is hilarious! (http://www.likecool.com/Cave_Bookshelf--Store--Home.html) What in the world?!
