K1nS Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I read this book a few months back and it still sticks in my mind, there was times at the book that I actually cried it was that bad. This is a true story of a young girl who gets abused by her father, its her story on how she got through it all and her feelings along the way. Heres a reveiw about the book: http://theliteraryword.blogspot.com/2007/03/dont-tell-mummy-by-toni-maguire.html Quote

KitKat1823 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I have just finished reading this book, many times i felt the dread and fear of Antoinette and what a nightmare of a childhood that she went through and what a weak horrible man her father was, to me her mother was not much better than her father was and how this poor child always looked for love in her mother only to never get only when ever it was ok for her mother to give love when she felt like it. I cried my eyes out when i read the final 3 lines of the book and thought "Good on you darl!" What a brave woman to have done what she did after her mother passed away and what a coward of a man he turned out to be! Fantastic read and i would tell anyone that loves to read true stories then this is worth picking up an reading because once you do you will not be able to put it down again. Looking forward to reading the next book "When Daddy Comes Home" Quote
