Ben Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Argh, it seems my comment came out all wrong. I meant I wouldn't bother to count the books on my bookshelves that I haven't read or indeed make a list like some people have. Quote
The Library Nook Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 lol I see! Each to their own:) Quote
The Library Nook Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 I have now finished The Garden of Empress Cassia by Gabriella Wang. This book I am reading with the children in my class and they seem to be really enjoying it. Quote
The Library Nook Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 I enjoyed it too! Anything that gets the kids fired up gets me fired up! The fact that it generated so much discussion was really good as well and I can see the potential for so much cross curricular work. Quote
Kell Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Have now finished the Paul McKenna- a nice quick read! I read this one and used his CD about 3 years ago. It did not make me thin. Quote

The Library Nook Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 Yesterday was my birthday so I went to Foyle's in Charing Cross Road and bought myself two teaching books and a collection of short stories called 'The Apocalypse Reader'. I could quite easily have bought many more books! Quote
The Library Nook Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 Finished Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I had read a couple of chapters last year but picked it up again earlier, started from the beginning and just read it right though! A bit freaky and I may have bad dreams tonight now! Quote

The Library Nook Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 It took me a while because I am still reading several things at once but I have finished Dreams from my Father. Quote
Chimera Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 So, what's your verdict having finished it? Quote
The Library Nook Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 Really good, I learnt a lot from it and it raised other areas for me to read about (which is always a good thing!) Quote
Ben Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Glad you enjoyed Dreams From My Father. I've been tempted to read it. Quote

The Library Nook Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 Have finished The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende. Not sure what I am going for next. It took me ages to get into (about a week) but last night and today I devoured most of the book in one sitting. I think I had to get used to her style. Quote
The Library Nook Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 Oops forgot to update this. The other day I finished How to Talk to a Widower by Jonathan Tropper, excellent book and made me give Mr LibraryNook a huge hug. Quote
