I don't know about the Mr Men books, but the young adult book I'm reading at the moment used "principal" instead of "principle" and also used "it's" incorrectly. Don't they employ proof-readers anymore?

We have just had a 180 000 word novel edited and there are mistakes (8, I think, so not huge in number) despite being re and re-read 3 times!

 

That said, we found that numbers of those mistakes were automatic corrections done by a certain wordprocessing programme that many of us are kind of forced to use, not naming any names :welcome2: ....microsoft! It does not have the intelligience to work out that holies IS different to hollies for example. And that dear do not live in the forest! :D
