The Library Nook
I have been hearing a lot about this author recently and want to branch out into different genres of writing. Does anyone have any suggestions with what I should start with? Edited July 28, 2008 by Michelle
Kylie
I haven't read any OSC to date, but I believe Ender's Game is one of his most popular books (it's the first in a series). I have this on my TBR pile.
Freewheeling Andy
It's a long time since I read any, but I really enjoyed Ender's Game when I read it. I think I must have read it not long after it came out, and along with Iain M Banks stuff it felt very refreshing compared to the slightly more pulpy or consciously-weird SF of the 60s and 70s that I had been gorgeing myself on at the time. eschulenburg
OSC's Ender series is good, and his Alvin Maker series is also excellent. My opinion about him is that the first two or three books in his series are always great, but the farther along the series develops, the less I enjoy them. If you are looking for stand-alone novels, I especially like Enchantment.
grabit
altho i would put this down to my own personal taste, i have always thought the Ender series was over rated.. my own personal favourite would be The Songmaster, a stand alone book.
