With only a few Spartan IIs left the UNSC get a Spartan, who is presumbed dead by his other Spartans, is selected to train the new Spartan IIIs.

 

The Spartan IIIs are trained on the planet called Onyx a virtully abandoned planet and the perfect place to train the Spartans.

But when the master Cheif destroys Halo something is triggered deep within Onyx. Ancient Forerunner technology stirs and fleets of UNSC and Covenant race to claim it to change course of the Human-Covenant War.

 

But the reawakened and ancient force may have plans of its own.

 

There are other Halo books inbetween this book and Halo The Fall Of Reach and I will probably review them sometime in the future.
