I read this book after I went to Auswitz on a school excursion. Even though it's written quite simple it really moved me. But maybe the simplicity of a child is what makes it so moving.

I also have a friend who lost her little brother named Bruno a year ago, so I was a little teary-eyed, especially towards the end.
