Deb Hi, as I'm new I'm late to this, but thought I would add that there are a few around. Eva Ibbotson has been mentioned elsewhere. She writes old fashioned adventure stories that appeal to the childrens fiction market, but aren't the easiest to read. What about Cornelia Funke or Cat Weatherill as well? They would fit this gap in the market of longer, more challenging childrens fiction. Quote
