Leetid Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Did anyone watch Gladiators last night on Sky one? If so what did you think? I thought it was quite good but the gladiators seem a bit soft and comical. Oblivion tried to act mean and moody but it just didn't work and made me laugh at him. Some of the costumes are a questionable! The games were good with some of the games from the last series and new ones. The eliminator looked really hard to complete - I could never do it. Would anyone think they could go on Gladiators? I know I couldn't because I would fail on every game and be too scared to go up against the Gladiators. Quote
Heather Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Same as me HD I used to watch it when it was on before with my son. Quote
Janet Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I'm disappointed this is on Sky as I would have loved to have watched it - as would hubby and the children. Quote
Kell Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hubby and I watched it - what a hoot! Oblivion is no Wolf though. I get the feeling it'll becoe regular Sunday night viewing for us - reliving our childhoods before our own kid is born - LOL! Quote
Nici Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Oblivion is no Wolf though. He had a good try though LOL! We watched it and Robbie REALLY enjoyed it (as you would expect for a 12 year old boy)! I think it will be regular Sunday night viewing. Although I caught myself paying attention to how much the girls weighed to see if 'muscle does weigh more than fat' and you can still be slim even if you are 12 stone! Quote

Awww. I really want to see it. *Stamps foot* Do Sky have a 'watch again' service like the BBC/ITV/Channel 4 do? </Clutching at straws> Quote
Esiotrot Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I loved it - not as good as it was all those years ago but good fun. I cant believe how the years have flown in since this was on Saturday Tea Time, makes me feel old! There have been a few changes - smaller arena, smaller lycra costumes, bigger chests on both male and female Gladiators . Loving the big pool instead of crash mats. All in all great family viewing for a Sunday night at times its pure pantomime, we will be watching next week. Quote
Inver Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Same here ...no Sky No Glads....why does it have to be on there:motz: My boys used to love watching that and shouting at Wolf. They then used to run around pretending to do some of the games...despite being told 'not to reinact any of them' . Quote
