CieRvawEutAPjRR Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I'm looking for a short story or novella (ideally not a novel) written in English (no translated texts) which places a heavy emphasis on the emotions of either the individual themself or those around them regarding the decline of a person's health and their death, ideally involving a romantic relationship. Something which is an exploration of death similar to ‘The Death of Ivan Illych' by Tolstoy would be good in that it depicts the deterioration of someone towards death and the authentic emotions of those around them (both mournful and sinister) but that was written in Russian. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Quote
