Book recommendation

Firstly, I’m looking for books which include queer characters/queer relationships. Romance shouldn’d be the main plot of the book, but it would be nice if there was some romance as a side story. For example, I really enjoyed ‘the sun and the star’ by Rick Riordan or ‘If we were villains’ by M.L.Rio.

Secondly, I am looking for queer romance books, but some that are a bit less superficial than most of what’s trending at the moment. For reference, I loved the ‘Aristotele and Dante’ books and also german book ‘Die Mitte der Welt’ by Andreas Steinhöfel. Books can be in English, German, French, Dutch or Norwegian.
