LoveYourselfItsVital Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Hi, I read the forum rules and guidelines and want to make sure my plan is acceptable. I want to talk about a specific book with people (I have a few in mind) and anyone is free to join in. Is it OK to start a discussion about the book and, if so, which subforum should I use? Also, the book is available free online in PDF format. It's not my site or my book. I just found it because it costs about $25USD which is hard for some people. I understand that I can't post links but is it okay to add to the intro post that it's searchable on Google? Thank you for any assistance. Quote
Brian. Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Hi. Welcome to the forum and thanks for asking a question before posting. We encourage book discussion so pick the sub-forum that you feel is appropriate for the discussion. If the mod team feel it isn't quite in the right place we can move it easily and posts in the wrong sub-forum are not a problem. Regarding steering people in the direction of the book for free, the short answer is no. If the book is available as a free download on the publisher's website or with the permission of the copyright holder then that would probably be ok. However, it sounds like a pirated copy which we do not allowed. Quote
LoveYourselfItsVital Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 Hi there, Thanks for your response. I will get that posted soon. Honestly, I'm not sure so I don't want to be anywhere near piracy. Thanks again! Quote
