Some time ago, there was a scandal regarding book reviews. It turned out that the girl chosen as the patron of the book generated reviews using AI. She later explained that she didn't have time to read the book and wanted to fulfill the contract. However, this situation occurred many times. What do you think about this type of behavior and why do book publishers continue to send her their products?

It's sad because AI can't do the same thing a person can, it just doesn't have a soul. But in our time, when this has become so common, we have to accept it. There will always be people like that, so we should focus on the ones who matter.

Welcome to the forum Oliwia :). I think it is clearly morally wrong to post an AI generated review of a book you haven’t actually read - it’s dishonest and misleading. It suggests it was more important to this person to churn out any piece of writing than it was to share her actual feelings about the book with other people. AI doesn’t have feelings, so it will just have copied from other reviews. As for why publishers still send her things: I suppose she does deserve a second chance. People will probably be quite suspicious of her content being AI created now, which would make it more difficult to get away with!
