Catch 22

Recently purchased an early copy of Joseph hellers 'catch 22'. It states 'first published in great Britain 1961'. I've only seen other versions quoting 1962 ... Could this be a misprint?

Have this morning received an email from penguin's editorial team that this is 'very interesting' and that this would indeed appear to be an 'early misprint'.
