Breaking My Sister’s Keeper Film News: Dakota and Elle Fanning have been cast to play Kate and Anna Fitzgerald in the movie adaptation. They're younger than in the book – but so is Cameron Diaz, who's been cast as Sara. Cameron Diaz will star in the New Line Cinema adaptation of My Sister's Keeper - and filming will begin early next year!

I see Alec Baldwin has been cast as Campbell - looks like they've made some interesting and clever casting choices. I think this will either be realy, realy good, or it will really really suck.

The movie was good but wasn't as good as the book. I cried at the end of the book and didn't at the end of the movie though everyone else I was with was in tears by the end. The ending to the book was much more emontional than the ending of the movie. I did like it but not as much as the book.

See, I HATED the film, I thought it was rather slow and missed out on much of the emotion of the book. Then as soon as I realised they'd changed the ending I switched off and didn't watch the very end as I was so furious!

Why do film producers DO this? If a story is successful, and they buy the rights, why change an integral part such as THE END?

Not watching this one. My dad recently died of cancer, and when he was sick, went to the cinema to watch the latest Harry Potter films and the trailer for this one came on screen. Almost enough to make me flee the room. So not for me.

I watched this on my recent flight home to Canada & I have to say.......I loved it! I thought the ending in the book was such a cop-out, so was thrilled to see that they changed the ending in the movie! I bawled, unabashedly, which is a rare thing for me & movies, lol
