That is interesting. I like the Matt Haig quote and the idea of books as treasure maps . 
I think most of the actual ideas are fairly obvious ways of studying though - most of us probably did them for exams at some point!

True. I didn't think of that. What I did think was that it was an awful lot of work for a hobby

The article looks interesting. I don't have time to read it now but will definitely come back to it. It really looks like something that I can learn from.
