Looking for a Book Crime Series

Hi , some years ago I started reading a book series and I have not read the last book (as far as I know there 4). I can't remember the names. But I am sure that the protagonist is female psychologist who always gets caught up in a murder. She kind of has a fling with a detective who is quite annoyed when she gets involved. One murder takes plave in her own practice and firt she is a suspect. Her name could be Chrissi, but I am not sure. The plot most likely takes place somewhere in California, maybe L.A. The titles of the books could include something like sunset, but I am not sure. Does anyone know this series? Google is not helpful at all. The style is more a soft crime stile, a bit like the Stephanie Plum series. Thanks for helping!!!
