Isn’t it!? Which one did you get?

I feel like I’m never going to get the cafe one. And I’m totally confused about the zombie! Plus all I think when I look at the cereal clue is ‘cereal killer’ (which is not, sadly, the answer!)

The one with 3 (possible) related females. I looked at that damn illustration last night, and I still have no idea any the wiser! :10_confused:

The cafė is another one that is totally baffling, and it didn’t help when I had Googled for the name of funiculi funicula either.

I managed another one.... but this year’s hidden books are ridiculously hard :banghead:

National Book Tokens posted some clues on twitter. I'll put them in spoiler quotes just in case someone doesn't want any clues but they're still hard!

The cafe:

Spoiler

In a small back alley in Tokyo,

A warm beverage can be yours for an

amount of dough.

Time goes by quickly, to some degree

But only with a darker poison (not tea).

The flowers:

Spoiler

This tale is about two Afghanistan

women,

And the challenging times that they live

in,

To make this a little bit more easy,

The title of this book is found in a poem by Saib Tabrizi.

The 'zombie'

Spoiler

What unites Frankenstein and Loch Ness?

And potentially this author's name no less,

This book has found success as a theatrical production,

Its subject matter focussing on losing a loved one.

The dog

Spoiler

Not to be confused with out head of state,

Although this young woman also has a lot on her plate,

South West London is her home,

This book has been likened as a contemporary Bridget Jones.

The bees

Spoiler

A maker of honey,

Plus the opposite of hate,

A pioneering author adored by many,

Themes of civil rights and community are centre stage.

Even after the extra clues I have absolutely no idea what the cafe, zombie or bees are representing!

I got the zombie one after the clue, but I would never had got it just with the painting!

And after the clue for the café, I think I have even less chance of working this one out
