I'm reading Books of Blood #1 too! I had to skip ahead read The Yattering and Jack- so good!  I have the graphic novel (took me forver to find and a pretty penny) but never read it.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite "horror" book, but after much consideration, it must be something from Poppy Z Bright.  Maybe Lost Souls or Wormwood.  True splatterpunk.

I am generally not a horror fan at all, but I just finished The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey, and it was rather engrossing. It's a horror/dystopian combo -- rather original.

I haven't read a whole lot of horror, but my absoulte favorite is NOS4A2 by Joe Hill.  I think his characters are amazing and the story really grabbed me.  I couldn't put it down.

Well, I like post-modern more than I like horror, so it makes perfect sense that my favorite horror novel by a country mile is House of Leaves.
