To say it 'changed my life' would be overstating things but 'On The Road' made the greatest impression, I think. It showed me that novels could be more liberating than I ever thought possible and a lot more 'hip' than what I'd been forced to read at school.

It sounds odd but I don't know really :lol:

I saw the film and then read the book, and I was just like... WOW!

I couldn't explain it - but it kind of gave me a feeling of how trivial certain things are, mostly material things! I truly believed the line:

"It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything."

Great book and great film! :)
