Slim Jenkins Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 To say it 'changed my life' would be overstating things but 'On The Road' made the greatest impression, I think. It showed me that novels could be more liberating than I ever thought possible and a lot more 'hip' than what I'd been forced to read at school. Quote
Suzanne123 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk! I found the film pretty life changing aswell! Quote
Suzanne123 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 It sounds odd but I don't know really I saw the film and then read the book, and I was just like... WOW! I couldn't explain it - but it kind of gave me a feeling of how trivial certain things are, mostly material things! I truly believed the line: "It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything." Great book and great film! Quote
