The Color Purple is one of those books that I keep meaning to read, but somehow never get around to it. I've heard so much about it, but never actually knew what it is about. I must read it at some point.

The Color Purple is such a special book. Harrowing, heart warming and memorable in equal measure. Great reviews as always, Paula.

Paula, Paula, Paula!  :doowapstart:

Love your reviews, my friend!  My wish list is growing, thanks to you.  Lies in the Dust reminded me to ask you if you've read Conversion?  It's by Katherine Howe and is an excellent story told from both Ann Putnam's and a present day girl's perspectives.  Highly recommend!

I've had The Color Purple in my TBR pile for a while.  I really need to read it, maybe this summer. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Looking forward to your review Nursenblack :)
