chesilbeach
What are the best and worst horror film adaptations? Do you think horror translates to the screen well?
Michelle
SK's Pet Semetary is probably the closest adaaptation I've seen. The Amityville Horror scared me as a book, but I thought the film was rubbish.
Karsa Orlong
The best I've seen is The Exorcist. It's incredibly faithful to the book and still fills me with a sense of dread. The Will Smith version of Richard Matheson's classic I Am Legend is a travesty. Anna Begins
I don't watch scary movies. But I once got tricked into watching Candyman (taken from Clive Barker's short story, The Forbidden). Terrifying, totally terrifying.
frankie
I would second Michelle's Pet Sematary. Those movies are just terrifying! I don't think I could watch them again. No sirree And Misery, too!
