Books similar to Edward Rutherford's London

Just looking for books or authors with similar kind of thing. Historical facts while reading a story. Im looking for any kind of history really. Just while i was reading London i learnt quite a bit about Historical London i didnt know and its whet my appetite for more books like that.

Catharine Arnold has a good series about London if it's non-fiction you're looking for.

Another book by Rutherford is  'Sarum', and it is a brilliant read. I can thoroughly recommend it.

cheers 4 them recommendations, i will have a look in2 them. I have got Sarum on my list along with New York, they sound really good.
