Sakura Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I'd like to know if there actually is any good YA horror. Anything I read in that direction lands smack dab in fantasy for me. Very little of it I do find scary at all. (and I'm not very hard to scare. I usually spend horror movie night under the blanket, the sounds are enough for me )
Michelle Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I find horror hard to judge, because I'm used to it, and I don't scare easy - I also like psychological rather than gory. I think the first person to come to mind is William Hussy, I've read his Witchfinder series, and that was pretty good.
Palagrin Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I Am Not A Serial Killer by Dan Wells - a trilogy of books about a sociopathic teenager who kills other serial killers.Department 19 by Will Hill - bringing vampires back to their gory roots and exploring the notion of a supernatural MI6 that deals with vampires etc and hides their existence from the public. I don't read THAT much horror so that's all I can think of at the moment.
vodkafan Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I read Anna Dressed In Blood and I found that OK. Would probably make a decent teen horror film.
