frankie
Hello John, nice to see a new member set up a reading log! The books you listed above, are those books you've read last year, or this year, or both? That's quite a list! I see you like a bit of horror
Kylie
Wow, that's quite a lot of reading, John, even for two years! Somehow I get the impression that you like horror. ETA: Doh! Frankie beat me to it.

Signor Finzione
Nice list! I see you enjoyed the Dark Tower series - I'm thinking of trying it out myself next year. What would you say was good about it?
geordie9
Nice list! I see you enjoyed the Dark Tower series - I'm thinking of trying it out myself next year. What would you say was good about it? Dont know where to start! Well ive read all of Stephen Kings books before i read Dark Tower and i loved all the links between his books and Dark Tower. Everything fell into place. I loved all the characters and actually felt like i was on the quest for the tower with them! I hope you do get the chance to read it and enjoy it. julie
Hi John Welcome ! I have 3 questions : How long do you think it took you to read The Stand ? I've had it on my Kindle forever, but so far haven't screwed up the courage to read it . Do you have a favorite of all the King books ? How do you think his son compares to him in his writing ? geordie9
Hi Julie , good questions. I think it took about 3 weeks to read The Stand. I dont think i could choose one favourite King book, it would be between Dark Tower Series, The Stand, It. And i think his son is a good writer and explains things in good detail like his dad, but i dont connect as much with Joes characters as i do with SK's. julie
Yes, from everything I hear, The Stand is quite a commitment of time ,but from most surveys I've heard, people have chosen it as their favorite King book . I figure his son would like to become famous on his own merit and not sell books just because of his dad's famous writing. His mom is also a writer ,but I haven't read anything of hers, and I don't know anyone else that has, so I'm not sure how popular she is . Thanks for answering my questions ~~

vodkafan
Hey geordie9 what did you think of Handling the Undead and Last Light ? These are the only 2 on your list I have read. I seen your ratings but I wondered if you had anything to say about them. Last Light was kind of worrying,(as it was intended to be by the writer) Britain is so dependent on food imports and other countries control our energy. geordie9
I read Let The Right One In before i read Handling The Undead so i was expecting a lot from it but i just didnt find it as good, i liked the idea of it though. Theres a short story book that he brought out too that has a follow up story to Handling the Undead in it. And i loved Last Light having also read Afterlight too.
