bookmonkey Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I'll have to check that one out Heffalump. I like series set in Scotland. Alex Gray writes one that's pretty good too, DCI Lorimer. Quote
Heffalumpi Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I've not come across Alex Gray Bookmonkey, thanks for the recommendation. I too love a series set in Scotland. Quote
Lauren1790 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Hi everyone! I have decided to join this forum as I love reading books and hardly any of my friends read like I do! Currently reading 'Payback' by Simon Kernick and looking for any suggestions of enjoyable books where you cannot guess the plot until you have read it all! I was looking into reading James Patterson (Is it the female detective series with numbers, i.e 12th Judgement?) has anyone read these and can recommend them? Thanks Quote

Thanks The female detective series is pretty good but you definitely need to read them in order. Same style as all the other James Patterson books, quick reads, very short chapters. But none of the main characters are as unlikable as Alex Cross. Quote
JonC Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Ghostman by Roger Hobbs is a good read. Shame it seems to be taking him well over a year to manage a sequel, but it remains a good debut. Quote
