Need some recommendation help

I love Penny Vincenzi's books and in particular loved the trilogy she did. Does anyone have any recommendations of books like hers? I would describe then as family saga's and I know with the trilogy I was almost in mourning when it finished as I was going to miss the family. I like the fact that you got to know the characters and there were twists and turns.

I've never read any of her books, but you might enjoy 'The Pillars of the Earth' (Ken Follet), if you haven't already read it. It follows the lives of a couple of families over a few years. It's historical fiction though.
