Books like I Am Legend?

Hey guys! I'm new here I found this forum because I was in search for certain type of book. I was on google and it led me to this site! Turns out it has a section for recommendations!! lol Ok! Back to the question.

 

Anyways, I was looking for books similar to I Am Legend. I liked the movie version of the story a lot better then the book tbh because it seemed more realistic to me. And I was wondering if there are other books like the movie? Where a person is the only one left, or a small community. I didn't like the whole idea of zombies and vampires. In the book and the movie. Want something more realistic. If anyone can tell me if there are books like that I would appreciate it!

Even Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury is a science fiction book such as I am Legend

The Road is incredible. I can almost guarantee you'll like it. Get ready to be seriously depressed though.

Anything by Nora Roberts is guaranteed to be good. Right now I'm reading His Every Desire by Emma Rose and it's worth a read as well (though it is a bit...descriptive like fifty shades of grey).
